I spent years inside financial services—specifically treasury management, the B2B side of banking—where stakes are high and details matter. It’s also a highly regulated environment.

Much of that time was as a product manager, working closely with Sales, Risk, Technology, QA, Implementation, Service, Legal, Compliance, and external vendors.

I’ve seen how messaging actually gets made: it starts with a knowledgeable SME, then layers of input get added, it gets softened by consensus, and eventually turns into language that works internally but not for buyers.

That experience shapes how I work on my own today.
